1975 To have some time to relax, Marvin Totten retires, but he continues to be involved as Chairman of the Board at Totten Tubes. David Totten, Marvin’s oldest son, takes over as president of the company.

A third bay is built in Los Angeles. The office space is doubled. And, five new employees join the company: one working with inside sales and four in the warehouse, including John Day.

1978 Four additional men—Paul Hobbs, Perry Stewart, Eddie Acuna and Jim Hawk—join the warehouse crew. Five people work in the office. Three work as salesmen. The company has three trucks and additional saws.
