Totten Tubes Inc
Totten Tubes is proud to announce its acquisition of Southwest Waterjet and Laser, a prominent leader in waterjet cutting and sheet metal laser cutting. Located just 6 miles from Totten Tubes' Phoenix location, this acquisition expands the processing capabilities we offer our customers.

Totten Tubes has supplied and processed steel tube for industrial buyers across the country for more than 70 years. By adding sheet and waterjet service, our customers can source more custom components from one supplier.

While Totten Tubes now owns and operates the shop, the team that built Southwest Waterjet and Laser's trusted reputation will continue to work with our customers on every order, delivering custom-cut products to your specifications. The Southwest Waterjet and Laser website remains active at swwj.com.

Waterjet Cutting and Sheet Metal Laser Cutting Capabilities at Totten Tubes

In addition to our steel tube processing and tube laser cutting services, the acquisition of Southwest Waterjet and Laser, an ISO 9001:2015 and AS9100D-certified shop, brings the following equipment and services to Totten Tubes.

Sheet Metal Laser Cutting

Our Trumpf fiber laser systems cut several types of metals with precision, including stainless steel, aluminum, copper, brass, and nickel. The TruLaser 3040 offers 6kW of power, a 13' x 6.5' cutting envelope, and automated loading. The TruLaser 2030 is a 4kW system with a 60" x 120" envelope that cuts carbon steel up to 1/2 inch thick. Learn more on the laser cutting services page.

Waterjet Cutting Services

Waterjet cutting uses no heat, so the material takes no heat damage. The lack of heat allows waterjet cutting to be used on nearly any material, with outstanding precision.
Waterjet cutting can be used on materials that are not compatible with laser cutting, from thick plate to glass and stone. See the full details on the waterjet cutting services page.

Press Brake Services

Components sometimes require forming after the cutting process is complete. We bend parts on a Trumpf TruBend 5130 press brake. The machine bends up to 117 inches in length and applies 146 tons of force. A 6-axis back gauge lets operators form complex parts to spec and repeat them. Automatic angle measurement checks each bend as it's made, which keeps parts to tight tolerances.
We also use Trumpf software that links cutting and bending, so the flat pattern and the formed part come from the same program. Details are on the bending services page.

What This Acquisition Means for Totten Tubes Customers

At Totten Tubes, we've built our business on decades of trust and quality. Our customers can continue counting on us for the right materials, processed to spec, now with expanded manufacturing services.

More Capability Options from One Supplier

Customers can now pair tube processing with waterjet cutting and sheet metal laser cutting, then form finished parts on a press brake. For longtime Southwest Waterjet and Laser customers, the work they rely on continues, now backed by a company with six locations and deep expertise in steel.

A Broader Range of Materials for Processing

Adding laser and waterjet capacity expands the materials we can process. Metals such as titanium and tool steel are now available, along with nonmetals like carbon fiber and plastics.
